truth cuts deep

Fresh as newly cut ice motions slowly creep into the cold
crystal clarity can see prints hold a negative pulse to develop
it's like the wheat and the darnel the darnel mimics the wheat
and almost identical until it ripens for the harvest
The wheat bows down and the darnel becomes exposed
easy to gather out of the frying pan into the fire
we with God can see the weeds amongst us
words of a doctor of the church St Agustine
an unjust law is no law at all
Many can see how rotten the fruit of this earth has become
spears carried on false tongues lashing at everything good
promoting war removing the freedom of speech and debate
Woe to you who crushes us with your coils
silence praying for wisdom we internally examine ourselves
Sharpening the arrows to sweetly hit their mark
The Love of the Cross will never be conquered or defeated
arise Oh Lord and let Your enemies be scattered
and let those that hate You flee before Your Holy Face
