Midnight Hauntings Of Old Man Turner's House


Daylight's silver fingers haunt the old home
Ghosts stay there haunting and at night they roam
So eerie when they together loud moan
And spill warm warm red blood on the blood stone
We as kids would not go there on a dare
In that evil place rest scariest scares
Rumor is Jack got caught when he fell down
Never seen again in our little town
Kenny went there and he came back a mute
Mike promise he would go and that ghost shoot
Nobody goes there neither boy or man

Adults now we laugh at all those old scary days
Would I go there now, I shall simply refuse say?

Note --
Years since my writing this and the old house has been torn down since the late 1980's..
I do wonder often, where those ghosts had to go?
Do you believe in ghosts. I've had friends that say they do because they
have actually seen them!

A great, spooky tale Robert. Love the opening line,’ Daylight’s silver fingers haunt the old home’. Really enjoyed reading the sonnet. And yes- I do believe!! I haven’t seen but I have sensed in an old nursing home that I worked in years ago. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, my friend. Yes, it does don't it. As adults we usually chalk that up to kid's imagination. But I knew at least two adults that say they saw ghosts. --God bless.

I do not myself believe in ghosts. But I will never call those that say they have seen them, a liar. Belief my friend is belief. My best friend back then claimed he saw one, so. God bless.
