HOBO POET BLUES

The sky turned dark
The poet built a fire
& warmed his hands
Worms crawled thru
His skin& angels
Cried & moments
Slipped pass like
Lavendar melting
The Santa Fe Chief
& coyote serenaded
The wanderer

Remembering

Your hot breath
Cascading like
Moonlight on
His back

That piece was co-written by Steve Mcdaris who pieced together bits of poems written by the two of us. It was issued in a chapbook that I don't believe I ever saw.
