Half Past Summer, Two Months Till Fall

King Sol is stealing all my energy.
There’s no relief in sight, forecasters say.
Come, clouds, with brief relief; this is my plea.
While summer lovers bask in heat each day,
I’ll dream of fall and trust in my AC.

Haha, not a big fan of summers either - only the vacation in brings. Talking about fall and dreaming about AC is indeed what I'll do instead. Congrats on the win!

I think the meter might be perfect here! That's something I really look for in triolet and Quintain poetry. Also, perfect punctuation. Thanks for entering with this cute poem. Congrats.

Hello Janice, I resonate with your pleas! Clouds and a breeze are much needed during our summers. It's sunworshiper vs ac for this hiker. Great entry and image posted!

It reached about 78 f last weekend, today its about 66 f - we don't tend to get the extremes of temperatures on our Island, but the Uk has been very hot recently reaching about 91F - far too hot for me lol:-) hugs Jan xx
