A very clever limerick dear duke! How nice to see you post and as always it is something that is thought provoking and soulful! Morse code, i used to use them before and were fun to create, its amazing how intelligent animals are. We have horses in some islands but i just love admiring them not really horse riding. IE, thanks for your comment. Animals deserve more credit that many of us allow. I'm glad you have a chance to admire them, and riding them is not that important to most of us in the modern world. We have cars, busses, boats, trains, and planes. It all makes it so much easier to travel without having to worry about the condition of our animal. Smiles!!

Anne-Lise, that's a great gift. Some of us humans have it too! We can look at a psycho like Trump and know right away he has a significant problem. His body language is awful. If he were to try to mount a horse, he'd likely be thrown off forthwith! Smiles!

Duke, I hope you are doing well. Equine science and horseback riding are two of my favorite topics. In your limerick, you praise both the jockey and the ridee for their brains and expertise. Many people lack the common sense that horses possess. When placed correctly, grips eliminate the need for pinching a horse's leg. The tapping of a tongue may also convey coded messages to these sentient beings.

SP, thanks for commenting. I didn't realize you actually were a horse fan. Amazing how we have used horses to amplify our ability to get around, explore, and even increase military power. Most of that is in the past now and we appreciate horses in a different way. Smiles.

Horses have much more sense than many humans. A leg squeeze isn't necessary if the reins are properly used. Morse code to these intelligent animals can also come from the click of a tongue.

Lin, too funny. We have to discuss horsemanship at some point. My goodness. They are smart indeed and I suppose you can train them to your liking if you are patient and have the time and money to spend doing it. When you ride someone else's horse, it usually presents additional challenges! Hopefully I'm not beating a dead horse.

What a remarkable thing this telegrathy, superb contribution, DB. Did you know that Morse Code has a rhythm, and can be thought of as music? Every Dot or dit • , and every dash, or dah -, has a musical pattern and beat. Morse code for the railroad train in Nogalas is what my grandfather and his brother did, both were Mason's. Nice to read you today~

Thanks Anaya, My grandfather was a ship telegraph operator and he was a gifted radio operator. -.-. --.- stands for "CQ," which in radio speak is "calling any station." You are very astute in pointing out how Morse code can be like music in a way. There are still a few people using it, but not very many. It's a rarity. - .... .- -. -.- ... for your comment. BTW, Honda open door use the four dits which stands for "H" while A is ._ and N is -.

Thanks Nette, I am attending a horse poetry get together over the weekend, so I am getting ready to participate. It's a chance to be clever without being influenced by our psychotic leader. I'm wondering what would happen if he were every on a horse? I don't expect it would end well. Smiles!!

Thanks for reading Tom. Horses played a dramatic role in development of our societies over the past several hundred years. However, now they represent an attachment to that past and an opportunity to have a connection to what was. The nice thing about having a horse is that it needed care. Not like having a car we might just go somewhere as we please. Not such an easy life as we have now.
