Come With Me

Come with me, I'll take you to the prom.
You're my heart throb as everyone knows.
Come with me, we'll play through the night,
And I'll be sure to twinkle your toes.

The girls will look fancy to the max.
They'll all be wearing fabrics of green.
Come with me, oh Adonis himself.
You'll be the hottest guy on the scene.

I'll twinkle your toes, I'll sing to your songs,
And laugh at the love prompts you say,
Come with me, oh darling, please come.
Youth waits at the dance to run free.

Youth love to go to night clubs where they can sing and dance. This invitation is so tempting. Lovers spending time at the night club will find it so thrilling. A delightful poem, Hilda.

What a lovely, touching piece of writing, Hilda. Your use of mythical allusions to Adonis and the romantic pleasures you've included in the prom atmosphere is charming.

Such an interesting write. Seems like, oh, only about a million years ago now that I've thought of 'prom.' Then again, I'm a man... Dance the night away, my friend...

Oh quite a beautiful heartwarming write this is, dear Hilda.. Loving the charismatic prom ambience you've created with romantic delights and especially your mythological reference of Adonis is also very creative here..gorgeously written with wonderful wordplay. Enjoyed reading this, sending light and best wishes :)
