I loved every entry and so many made me laugh , I did better this time in the judging but still made the odd mistake , At one time I had 35 winners , Some did add names and that threw me a bit but honestly , I am astounded by the brilliance of you all

Thank you so much

Before running anymore contests I must seek advice from some of you old pro's , So I can cut down on the judging errors ,

It was a fabulous theme for the contest Darren. jenny and I had so much fun writing together for it and were over the moon with our first place. hugs as ever Jan xxx Not sure some members would appreciate being called 'old pro's ' that made me chuckle!

This was such a fun contest, Darren, and you did have some wonderful entries. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you for my placement. Many people do not put their names on poems as sponsors often wish to judge blind. There have been times when it has taken me days to judge contests after they close. It is difficult picking winners. darren, I am happily surprised that I placed high in your contest. I honestly did not know what to write and then it occurred to me I had that older poem of mine that I could enter. Thanks so much, and congrats to all. I'll check out the winners' list this weekend. As for whittling down contests, you almost have to make rules just because people inevitably break the rules and it narrows down the playing field!! It just sucks when a super good poem is one of those that has broken a rule!!

Yes, Andrea, you are correct. Adherence to rules, sticking with the correct form(s), and even grammar and punctuation sometimes have to be considered when many wonderful entries are submitted.
