Sherwood At Sunrise
Morning gently wakes.
Scents of moss and mint mingle
'neath whippoorwill's reveille.
Melodic lyrics
whisper pass the rustling leaves -
echoing dulcet refrains.
Woodland music swirls
atop harmonious brooks;
crisp droplets chant the chorus.
Dawn breaks symphonic!
A cool breeze plays the oboe
whilst whipping through meadow blades.
A lone fawn’s hoof beat
lends a distant percussion
completing nature’s opus.
A forest's paean -
close your eyes and drown within
it's orchestral rhapsody.
