Sunny Farmhouse chapter 2


"Urgh where are my wellies"? Millie shouts into the empty hallway downstairs. Millie could hear Lola's favorite TV show playing loudly from the living room and where Lola was, Mum was not too far behind.  Deciding to give up the search for her wellies, Millie shuffles through her mother's mountain-high collection of shoe wear before grabbing the first pair she thought were most acceptable farm work attire. Walking downstairs and before the words to tell her mother she was ready to leave left her mouth, she heard. 
"You are not wearing those! Sarah said pointing down toward Mollie's feet. They are my comfiest pair"! "I haven't got time Mum! I'm already behind and haven't even started my first task on your lame to-do list yet, Mollie shouted back. 
"Have you seen my wellies"? Said Mollie to her mother. Unable to keep a straight face, Sarah smirks before unleashing the laugh that many pointed out to be uncanny of the sound that comes from their farmyard pigsty.  Mollie not seeing the funny side to her mother's snorting, turned around to face Lola, her little sister being quite the busy little artist had decorated Mollie's wellies with yellow stars from her newly bought sticker book, given by her dad this morning before leaving for work, and inside sat a puddle of sticky glitter glue Lola promised was an accidental detail. 
"Little sisters are the worst, Mollie growls stomping her way out through the front door and forgetting the chicken seed.
