1. (CHAPTER ONE)

__He's Here__

Henry was born on a very cold day. His mother tried to push him to the top of the water, so he could take his first breath. Henry's father was by her side as she nudged the little orca to the surface.

Everyone came to see the little orca whale-who was named "Henry" by his father. Many animals on land and sea were curious. Some people who lived nearby also came to see the new baby whale.

Henry was having trouble swimming to the surface, it seemed he was born without his dorsal fin. The dorsal fin is used like a paddle by killer whales and helps them steer, poor little Henry was having trouble staying on course.

"You can do it!"... everyone cheered Henry on. Finally after many failed attempts Henry made it to the top of the water and took his first breath. The animals and people applauded the little orca, the noise caused him to retreat back below.

"What was that noise Mother?" Henry asked. "It was everyone on land and sea cheering for you Henry" his mother replied. "Why?" Henry asked. "Because everyone needs a little encouragement now and then" his mother replied.

Henry knew he was different, he had noticed his parent's dorsal fins and when he saw his reflection for the first time in the water's magical ice mirror, he could see that he was lacking one.
