Charging Elephants rated E for elephant

You can never have enough rope or coins for that matter. They say if you give someone enough rope they will hang themselves. We can only pray. I wonder how much it cost or how much they charge to park your elephant at a parking meter in town?

I took my elephant out for a ride today. He didn’t fit in the car so I put him in the trunk. I also brought along plenty of rope to tie him to a parking meter to test a theory.

There were no parking meters available anywhere in town. All the other elephants in the region were tied to them. (People are smart. They remembered to bring plenty of rope.)

You know the old saying. You know what people say about Florida; “Florida, Land Of The Elephants.”

Wherever you go in Florida there are elephants; in the stores, in the bars, (mostly pink ones), at the beaches, under tables, jumping on trampolines, sky diving and the like. I had to have a big E embroidered on the pajamas of my elephant. Why?! Because that way you will know who is in bed with you.

There will always be an elephant in the room. You can not see the elephant for the room and the room can not be seen for the elephant. There is something philosophical about that, something elegant and profound and yes, elephant.

It was a good day. I returned home from my trip with my elephant intact, with no ticket for illegally parking him by the parking meter without paying. I’m not paying hard earned coins and cash for some silly law cooked up by drunken politicians wearing lamp shades and lipstick, snacking on LSD for a living.

Expired Elephant Meters – An actual law in Florida in 2020.
Don’t you just hate it when you get back to your pachyderm and there is a parking citation on it! Apparently, it is illegal for a resident in the State of Florida to leave their elephant tied to a parking meter without paying.

Talk about charging elephants. I still don't know how many coins you need for the meter. Let me check the trunk to see if he has any change. After all it is his ride.

Have a nice day and remember to love your pachyderm.
