Dry plane-tree leaves, at the mercy of the wind!

With me poetry is about subduing one's conditioned mental reflexes, and allowing purer inert forces to take control of the stylus. In short, poetry should be about transcending the physical into realms of the metaphysical. The heart of great writing is spiritual and not commercial. One must take the "I" out of a work as much as creatively possible.

I am really resenting AI in the Arts. It is not the death of art, because artists will do art no matter what. Always there will be small gatherings of innovative creative individuals. But none will make a buck at it. Commercial mediocrity will rule...young people will never develop the skills needed to produce unique, personal products. It will hurt soul and spirit development -- the devil must be overjoyed. Another appealing way to keep humanity on the surface layer of creation.

“He who tendeth first the hearth of his own soul,
doth rend the veil 'twixt self and all,
and in that silent concord, mercy ascendeth
as river, flame, and marrow through the bones of the world.”

Que sera, sera c’este la vie.
Do not worry about me, merci.
Que sera, sera it will be fine,
so very fine I always say..
I’ll never be sorry, merci.

Yep, the night out, is not always the same as morning reflection -- which do we treasure more? A warped fondness for even many of my mistakes -- I say, show mercy to one's own heart.

|
Mom: older than time, younger than mercy.

Life is a process...death is a process. We die to the old. I will always choose mercy. Redemption. God can make nothing that will eventually fail. It is impossible. He is incapable of failure..even by proxy.

|
Will the merciful Lord strengthen me when dreariness abounds and desperation revokes hopelessness? Only when my weakness becomes strength: I can rely on myself, not on others who may mock me, thinking it's foolishness. Success in everything cannot be achieved. Avoid stubbornness and settle for a simple life, never recurring to want more than need.

|
Quit this, quit this,’ I’d tell myself. ‘How could I do better?’ I’d ask. I have to turn to God, I’d suggest. But I’m a sinner beyond salvation, and God’s mercy is boundless. Thanks to it, I have hope.

|
I would never tire of saying, " Be merciful and hear the cry of the one who suffers. "

|
The Eternal God, in His infinite mercy, allows us to suffer until we have realized that sin never leads to the heart's happiness.

On wars: "The good war, fighting evil near and far. Or for merchants of death for gold and more, and more." from the poem "Napalm in the Morning" by Max Burchett

To be in love is to put oneself at the mercy of suffering. Hebert Logerie

|
Now more than ever this perfidious humanity, which has plunged into the tenebrous abyss of hatred and wickedness, needs God's forgiveness and His mercy.

As springs’ budding blossoms emerge
the raptors glide mercilessly.
I wrote this haiku-like poem on 3-27-2023 after the Nashville Covenant school shooting massacre. — Michael R. Burch

Love like an ocean is mercurial. Subject to changing constancy; underneath the waves, in the deepest bed lies true love, watching us tread water, waiting for us to turn late or early, it does not matter; we dive deeper to find its arms open, ready to envelop us. We go searching for pearls, drowning in it all, treasure like wisdom to be found.

There is a mercy in compassion, a beauty in
kindness, and a release in forgiveness.

Did heaven ever seem so far?
Remember–we are as You were,
but all our lives, from birth to death—
Gethsemane in every breath.
('A Possible Argument for Mercy' by Michael R. Burch)

Wolf has no mercy.

Who's perfect except for Christ, who with His endless mercy for Humankind, gave up His life? Would He have done it: if he had had hadselfishness and vanity?

There exist a sea of toxicity where no good can dilute it and no life can flourish in it.stay away from its shore lest one may be pulled away by the tides into the drowning depth of a merciless death.

“I needed something to kill that I could choose to let live
and have my mercy’s light dispel this wicked darkness.”

Isso me faz sorrir. Está bem!

Jealousy is the fuel generated by your own negativity. It burns no body except for you. And you deserve no mercy because this is what you choose.

AH, Ensinar a vencer. Estão cheias as livrarias de todo o mundo de livros
que ensinam a vencer. Eu mesmo já gastei muita tinta!
Para vencer – nos negócios ou no amor –
três atitudes definíveis são precisas:
saber sonhar, planejar e inspirar.
Lembro um outro Fernando: da simples "vontade" vivem só os pequenos comerciantes; da simples "inspiração"
vivem só os pequenos poetas.
Saber sonhar,
planejar
e
inspirar é o segredo para grandes empreendimentos.
Simples assim.

what is lost, may be replaced
with panic
all men have mercy, for some
it is clouded with judgement
Two men may be separated by bars,
but which is the prisoner?
