I ran a poem of mine through AI just for analysis, not to change or improve anything -- the opinion was frightening. Better than any person I have encountered, as if this thing was inside my head. The next generation really does have something to worry about. We are dinosaurs my friends -- hope our bones will retain truth enough to inspire when we are gone, to be really read as they are dug up and carefully dusted, by facsimiles of living souls.

Hopes and expectations are prison

Hope and Expectations are beautiful illusions that slowly turn into mental prisons.

Hope is the audacity to believe in a narrative that hasn't been written yet.

I'd rather dwell on the good in life, in relationships. Just the way my mind works. I am not big on victim-hood. Have been hurt seriously...and forgiven. Hope others will do the same for me.

I hope heaven has pizza parlors, and little establishments with local craft beers. And jukeboxes with hits from the 50's. And good Italian ices. And drive-ins, and moonlight canoeing. And And And.............. The best of earth would be heaven enough for me.

We belong to the last generation that will make intellectually significant contributions. After that, the best to be hoped for is 'Not bad, for a human.' But then, if computers had to run on million year old technology, they wouldn't do so well either.

What we plant, how we nurture will be our fruits -- how future generations of our ways will know -- and how God will decide, in His graceful time if humanity to terminate or continue to hopefully let flow.

In a world of heated conflict, Christ is my oasis of quench and hope.

Still, I remain. because love in its rawest form, is not gentle. It is a tether that bruises the skin, a chain dressed as devotion, a prayer whispered into nothing with the desperate hope that nothing will answer.

To call someone who expects poetry to be skilled and serious art a "poetry snob" is like calling someone who doesn't want to live on Whoppers and Slurpees a "food snob."

Paddles of innocence most pristine, sail through crucible blaze.
And the glowing soot embellishes the trail.

Whenever you feel lonely and a bit down when walking back home, suddenly the need to hum to yourself quietly gives you that unexpected boost despite your hopelessness.
