Contest Description
What to submit?
A poetic retelling of a well-known mythology or legendary narrative. Any form are welcome, as long as they are primarily poetry, not prose. For the sake of clarity, stories from the Bible or other religious texts do not qualify for this theme; urban legends are ok (although I prefer classical mythology), but definitely NOT historical/scientific misconceptions (which are sometimes referred to as "myths").
Please include the name of the source material on the poem's title or description (Not on Poet's Notes, since they will not be visible in the submission).
Notes:
While traditional myths and legends tend to be doorstopping epics, keep the entries for this contest short - no more than 50 lines and/or 350 words. Avoid unnecessary enjambments, word s p a c i n g, and punctuations (like *, ~, //), unless it's a shape poem. Also no ALL CAPS, all bold, no AI & plagiarism.
