Why do i always strike out

In my days on this earth I have found no one to show me true love. In my marriage I was verbally abused by her and used. Why is it so hard to find someone that will treat you write anymore? I have had numerous girls I have fallen for but always the same outcome. I either get tossed aside or used in relationships, is it because I have a big heart. That is why I have so many poems on lost loves and only day dream about what real love is. The only true love I have is God up above and am thankful to have his love. I would like to hear your thoughts about this. I hope someday I can have this real love and share it through my poetry for all to see.

I think Roy's advice is right on. Try not to focus on a romantic hook-up, if you can. Look for friendship first, without too many expectations, and without pressure on yourself, or the other person. Becoming friends first, finding things in common, laughs, conversation, a friendly relationship grows...often into something more. Instead of looking for a mate, look for a best friend. The best soul mates, come from friendship that blooms, and can grow into love and romance. Best wishes, and good luck!

Well that's what the last one was, a friendship that I thought she was giving me signals of more. Then like the stock market it crashed and burned. Thanks for reading blog Carrie and the advice

Hi Michael, I'm an Arkansas boy myself, so we're neighbors. I've got some family in Oklahoma...great place. As far as love advice, I'm afraid I'm short on it. I've been lucky in that department I guess...no pat on my back...just ran into a great woman that has never stopped loving me...no literally..I crashed into her at a basketball game in high school and helped her to her feet. She hasn't let me go since..lol. But I agree with some below..women like a little mystery. Don't let it all out at first. Intruige them until they can't stand it anymore. Don't make them think you should be grateful for every little bit of attention you get.Remember, you're pretty cool too. Confident, not arrogant.

I see a lot of real bitches with very good men and it makes me very angry to see this type of person with a good "catch". I don't know why the really great girls end up with rotten guys either!! I think that is even more common than the other way around. I think a few people here gave you some great advice. Don't try so hard. Don't seem desperate, Be yourself and meet women in natural settings like laundromats, church and grocery stores, haha. But what the heck do I know? I haven't been on the single scene in almost 40 years!!

I wish you luck, pal. My only advice is don't try too hard. It's like poker. Don't show your cards all at once. They hate that. Just be friends and let them make the first move. Learn what the signals are and play them like a fish, give them line and don't try to set the hook too soon. Cheers, Roy

aww that is sad to hear, and I don't have an answer, other than to say that relationships seem to be becoming more and more expendable, which is indicative of the way society is becoming as a whole, I suppose...but I echo what becca has said below - there are plenty of women who do appreciate kind hearted men and will treat them well in return, so don't be put off by previous bad experiences...I think also that when you are at peace with yourself and comfortable with the person you are, then you begin to attract a more positive vibe and therefore a different type of person...am I making sense or just waffling? :)

Charlotte it is true what you say nothing last anymore not like our grandparents relationships did. I have tried to come to peace I am going to give up on them for awhile and see what happens.

Carol use to I was but anymore I am not have tried Christian dating sites no luck. Going to just enjoy my years alone I guess even though I would love to pass some life lessons of to kids

Good morning, Michael I'm that girl that takes love for granted. usually I have a way in making men fall in love (not purposely) I ignore them ones the symptoms are exposed. sometimes I ask my self why can't I go with the flow? I had a nice guy showering me with loving words and emotions. I tossed him to the side, and told him to tone it down a bit. He was to sweet, down here in Texas, nice guys are only taken advantage of. For some reason women are strange, we Love God, We love Grace, but we also like bad/egotistical men. We love the strange to.

Michael, you are a good poet, and friend. The perfect love is out there waiting for you. you never know she might be your friend/neighbor. Write a poem, on what the perfect girl is like (nothing sexual). Put the lost feelings to a side. search for a new muse. a happy one. Let me know when and if you have one. ps... Don't think cuz, I have men falling all over. I have many relationships. As a matter of fact I'm a good gal. in 10 years, I've only been with 2 men. yes my life is lame....lol, but it never stops men from wanting to talk or know me. Sorry to hear of your troubles, Michael. Unfortunately, I have never had this problem and cannot afford you any true sage words. In every relationship I have ever had, I have been the Alpha and can have it no other way. You are not wrong for having a good heart, but people will take advantage of someone like you if they sense any kind of weakness or vulnerability. I am a heavily guarded person, kind when shown kindness and never cruel, but always in control of the situation. I'm a "it's my way or the highway" kind of individual, for better or worse. In my youth I was taken advantage of, verbally abused, bullied, etc for being gay so I erected a force field around my heart and let only few in

Thanks for the advice my friend and yes my weakness is caring for people. I guess I need to be a royal pain and I will find right one but that isn't me and I don't lie who I am to anyone.
