Yes this is a horrific event that has touched me deeply, for each day I seem to find another connection to this tragedy. The lady who cuts my hair daughter was in class at SandyHook down the hall but was spared , the secretary for my dept at work sister taught in the very classroom next to where the worst happen. Another women that works at my jobs husband went to the academy to train to be a firemen with a gentlemen who lost his son on that at that school that day. My brother and his wife along with his 6 year old daughter an 11 year old son live 2 towns over. My brother messaged me through Facebook with this picture. His friend from college is a teacher and read my poem and was do moved to tears by it he brought it up there to the memorial. I did the only thing I could do emotionally and that was to write what I felt. I have written three poems in the past days "Angels In The Sky" "Beyond The Bell" and my last was "Love Conquers Hate" all of which were inspired by the emotions that continue to come from this tragedy.. So please bare with me if my recent poems are not my usual themes.. At this Christmas and Holiday time please keep all the parents of these children and teachers in your prayers.. along with the first responders who were faced with images of what they saw that day..
Always (with a heavy heart) Michael
