I was born and still live in the beautiful city called Cape Town in South Africa. My view in the morning includes the magnificent and stunning Table Mountain (Now one of the 7 wonders of the World).

My birthday is on 25 December every year and I self published my poetry book called "Whispers from my Soul" in April 2012.

Writing is just a hobby for me and if someone walks away and are able to identify with what has been said then I am a happy person.

Hello Everybody!!!

The saying that unplanned things normally work out for the best really became reality!! I received the author's copy of my book,

"Whispers from my Soul"

last week..

The idea of a book never crossed my mind, it was never planned,

in the end I am glad I went through with it!!

Adding to the exciting week I had, I decided to be a tourist in my own country for a change :) Did the whole tourist thing, visited a few wildlife farms, undertook a camel ride and I must say he (the camel) was more in tune with me then any guy ever were lol just kidding.. I had an absolute blast!!!

Lastly I would like to apologize for being absent from the Soup.. Work is hectic and with all the madness I am attracting these days it does not look like things will ease up quite soon..

Whoopety-whoop-whoop!!! Geez, I'm real proud to be calling you Homegirl. I will not rest until I have a copy of your book in hand. Am I right in assuming your mother tongue is Afrikaans, as is mine? If so, a double whoopety-whoop-whoop for having mastered the English language with such finesse. You have me proud, Homegirl. :)

It was loads of fun Vince :) I just love that saying of yours "Only talent attracts madness" will embrace every minute then. I had an awesome time, was great to just get away from work for the couple of days :) love Wilma

Camel Ride looked like fun. Only talent attracts madness, so enjoy it. SouthAfrica is another place I've missed on my travels. Saw part of North Africa from the sea but never docked there. Hope you enjoyed your trip.

CDA, you are right in thinking Afrikaans has a mix of Dutch within :) hmmmm the walk on water thing??? Well I can answer you but then I would have to hunt you down :D it's your bday so I will refrain from violence and just give you a *hug* lol

Hello Chris, it is actually Afrikaans and not Dutch.. See Afrikaans is not that difficult to understand :D Gosh, with your theories we could actually have a new blog about how my existence came about and the similarities etc etc.. Thank you for the laughter this morning when I woke up :)

Imagine me smiling W--i--d--e--l--y right now, Missy ^_^ not only because it looks like you had loads of fun with that camel-- I love how that camel looks ^_^! But also mainly because of you having your own book! I love how it turned out ^_^! Love that tree with the sun peeking through and love your title even more :D! I wish you all the best with your book and who knows? Congratulations on realizing your book. I hope to someday get a book done, too. My experience with camels is a little different, They spit and bite and make me seasick riding them.

Thanks a mill Ruben for the well wishes, the book was published through Xlibris and it is available at www.xlibris.com as well as Barnes and Noble. :) Apparently it is also available in e-Book form! Hope your Wednesday is turning out great!!
