This has been one rough week...

<font size="3" face="Verdana">Since Mid May of this year I've been drinking high quality small batch bourbon. 1/2 of a 5th. every night since last Thursday. Obviously if you've read my poems it does not take a genius to figure out that I've been suffering from chronic depression over the last 5 yeas since my marriage has been a roller coaster ride of emotional and mental turmoil. So to block out all the stress in life I've turned to alcohol. Well I pretty much cut down to merely nothing in the last week. Unfortunately my body did not agree with that. So Valium has been my savior in helping me cope. I've committed myself to get better utilizing every medical specialty out there. But in the mean time my experiences will be typed up in my poetry. N'joy. </font><br>

try brandy and creme soda, it's a fix... just kidding, just keep yourself busy and doing something constructive until you can better cope with the atmosphere surrounding you... best wishes

Jon, I just read your bio and see you are a vet. I want to express my gratitude for your service to your country. At times, this comes at a big cost for the person and his or her family. Let this country help you. THANK YOU!! Karen

Wishing you the best Jon. We all go through our tough times. Depression is a difficult road one that one can get through with help. As a nurse and one who has had several family members go through bouts of depression, I know what a difference treatment makes. As with anything, it takes time. All my family members are currently doing well. My thoughts and prayers go with you. Blessings to you. Karen

Hang in there Jon. It is a long hard battle. It bypassed me parially but I went thru it with my Dad and now my son. My dad it was just alcohol. My son it was depression and alcohol, I love them both but only they can do the changes necessary. Be careful with the valium as it also creates a dependency. That you can talk about it is a big plus, so NEVER NEVER NEVER give up. God Bless. Vince
