He has Pulmonary Hypertension and his heart has to work 3-4 times harder than normal to pump the blood through his lungs. He's had to wear a heart monitor for the last few weeks now. He has an appointment with heart and lung specialists in Denver Feb 11th. They are going to want to redo all the tests he's already had done and then some...gonna put a bigger strain on the finances there. Glad I was able to get him enrolled with my health insurance before all this started. His current lung specialist says he may need a lung transplant...may also include the heart now as his heart is so damaged from having to work so hard. He has applied for SSDI but they are slow to get him approved and get the benefits started, also his work had AFLAC insurance and he signed up for that, but they are dragging their feet in approving his claim, so we are struggling to get the bills paid now. Going to have to give up cable and other things that don't seem frivolous, but will have to live without for a while. I just want him well again. Thank you both, for your best wishes and prayers. I am taking a "ME" day today in hopes of rejuvinating my soul and recharging my big gray delco for the up-coming rounds, as the fight is far from over. But you all help to keep me sane. Thank you so much!
