One can always put a garbage bag over the part that needs to be kept dry and put rubber bands or adhesive tape around it but it could get wet so it might be better not to do that..Thanks for stopping by my blog..Sara

So glad to see you are recovering, Jack, just take it a day at a time, and pleased that you have so much support and caring people, with tips to help you though this challenge. Our newspaper comes in a long skinny plastic bag, which fits nicely. My grand daughter used this in the shower when she broke her wrist.

Hi Jack, I'm praying for your speedy recovery. Keep up the one-handed typing and I say instead of a shower, take a bath and ask for some help. You could still wrap the bandages as a precaution. God bless you, Rhonda

My idea for you. Just don't go in the shower. hahaha. The french way: use lots of perfume!!(Heck, it wasn't for so long, was it?) How about a good sponge bath!!! I'm happy for you that the bandages come off soon.Luv, Andrea

when my leg was in a cast I just put a plastic ba around it and stepped into the shower, just use wide first aid tape to secure it in place.

Stick it in a plastic bag with microtape to seal it or you can buy a waterprood splint cover. all the best Jack
