Last year, 8/3/20, I became a member of PoetrySoup to enter a poetry contest. I did not win, of course... still sticking around, thou!
I want to thank Caren Krutsinger, who made a comment on 8/5/20 and welcomed me to Soupville.
Followed by Silent One 8/9//20, thanks to you and to your poetry contests that I entered, wherein, I poured my heart, my life experiences, thoughts and perspectives.
This one is for Constance La France. My heart felt thank you, Constance for e-mailing me to edit my poems. You just don't how it helped me to know and learn more about poetry and types of poetry. You are a guiding light and appreciate your help tremendously.
The truth is I only wrote free verse because it fits my personality. I always want to be free, free like a bird or a butterfly, free to fly. Writing free verse sets me free from the restrictions and limitations of counting syllables, rhymes, lines, stanzas and so on. However, I had fun facing the challenges of writing the other types of poetry.
Alexis, thank you for writing about my books in the Blog section. That was so sweet of you. It is really nice to get to know you and keep up motivating and inspiring for there would be readers who would turn out from negativity to positivity reading your poems.
I want to thank all of the members. Thank you for reading my poems. I appreciate all the comments and thank you for the time writing them.
Thank you for the contest sponsors for drawing out my creativity, imagination, emotions, thoughts and perspective and thank you for my placements.
Lastly to the PS organization.... thank you, thank you, thank you.
Have a great day and enjoy the rest of the summer.
Always,
Marilene
