What pain is etched on Anna’s face
What is she trying to forget
or maybe to remember.
Such deep sorrow is showing
in every line.
Was it the war years,
did she lose out on love?
Was fate not on her side?
she holds back the tears,
tearing her soul.
The artist eyes can see the pain,
feel the anguish within.
Portraying as a picture of hope,
memories on hold as she waits to
find peace
