yes...agreed Usual Suspect....it's nice when people comment....but i spend my limited soup-time reading/commenting on poet's work who respectfully pause to consider my humble drivel! vs commenting on comments!

Charlie, I don't like it either, I have to go to my inbox and click on poetry comments to see all the comments and we no longer can see replies on comments unless we go to each poem we have commented on which as you know is impossible to recall, I don't really mind going to my inbox to see the comments but would like to see the reply on my comments back or why have that feature at all, it is cutting down on the interaction between poets for sure, one of the things that made poetrysoup special, there must be other ways to cut down on emails without destroying communication between poets. Then way we could get notification of comments made on our poems and vice versa. I really miss the interaction especially replying to comments and do not have the time to go back on up to 50 comments made to see if anyone responded! If we make a comment on a blog then surely we would go back to see if people had responded . :-) hugs Jan xx

If they had a 'weekly soup news' feature (there is already a news feature which could be updated ) any information we currently get sent such as new PM/Lifetime member, best new poets, top 100 best new poems, followers etc etc could be in one place for us to access thereby freeing up space on the server and reducing traffic

the Soup changed a lot of stuff recently. Some I do not like. This one does not effect me because I already had my notifications turned off a long time ago. Scroll down through these blogs to find where they describe all their new "wonderful" features.

Unfortunately Charlie the soup stopped those notifications. They also limit there notifications on comments on your poems to one per every two hours. I don't like it.

I don't have the time or the will to go to my outbox to check on comments I have made in the hope there may be a reply - some days (not lately) I could comment on 50 poems a day:-) hugs Jan xx

Sadly the notifications was one of Soups BEST features, allowed soupers to reply quickly and kept the site interactive. Was also great that if one is away, the notifications was a great checklist in your inbox to make sure you replied to everyone.

If that's the case, why respond at all?

I just went back to several old poems of mine and found about five reply's I didn't know about. I don't like that at all. So, what do we do go through every poem we've written every day just to be courteous?
