Other news is about my lack of participation lately ... am facing back surgery sometime in the next few months and its kept me from sitting to long in front of the puter as well as in a state of pain/frustration.

I, in my cynical wisdom, am sure that if I had $20,000 they would do the surgery tomorrow and anyone who doesn't know about the "tiered" system of medical care in this beloved village, well trust me ... IT SUCKS

So, thanks for all your comments on my writing ... Happy Birthday Daver and I'll be back upon occasion and one day might even spend some time here ... smile ...

Sue, sorry about your back and that you require surgery. I feel your pain!(really, I DO -- more than I would care to. haha. The back is a temperamental beast!) So sorry to hear you are facing surgery, Sue....but hopefully, it will be behind you as soon as possible. Yes, indeed, the waiting is often the worst part...and yes, we do need improved healthcare in this country. Let us hope it changes and something is done in the near future. Happy Birthday to Daver!
