There are moments in life when words feel heavy, and then there are moments when they feel like the only way to breathe. Lately, I've found myself turning to poetry as a new way to navigate the waves of stress and process everything going on in my world. It has become my quiet sanctuary, and today, I wanted to take a moment to look up from the page and say thank you.
To everyone who has taken the time to read, react, or leave a kind word: I am truly overwhelmed. The feedback I've received has been nothing short of wonderful, and it means more to me than I can properly express.
If I'm being completely honest, I have never done this before. Stepping into the world of creative writing and sharing my soul through stanzas is entirely new territory for me. I am very much still learning the rhythm, the rules (and when to break them), and how to translate a feeling into a rhyme.
We all have our "outlets," but I didn't realize how much I needed this one. When things get hectic or life feels a bit too loud, sitting down to write has become my way of getting those feelings out. It's a vulnerable process, but having this opportunity to share that journey with a supportive community makes the learning curve so much easier to climb.
I know I'm still a work n progress, but your encouragement gives me the confidence to keep typing, keep dreaming, and keep refining my craft. I am so grateful for this platform and for all of you.
I will try to blog more often and I will try to respond more to others. Thank you for being part of my growth. Here is to more learning, more writing, and many more poems to come!
