To all dear Soup friends:
For those of you that entered my contest, please check your entry and make sure your name is not included. I'd like to judge blind. All the entries I have read so far have been wonderful - some have made my heart skip a beat, some are touching and some are bittersweet. I thank you all for supporting my contest.

Now that 2014 is coming to a close, I've been doing some reflecting and spending time in prayer. I've even gone back and read many of my old poems and journals. This past year has had its ups and downs, but I feel blessed to have the love of family, friends, our awesome soup community, and a faithful God. I'm trusting that 2015 will be a year of many blessings for all of us, and even in the face of adversity, we have the comfort of knowing we can share with each other through our poetry and encouragement of one another.
If anyone would like to share their New Year's Eve/New Year's Day plans, I'd love to hear what you all are doing. My New Year's Eve will be spent at a kid-friendly street festival in Delray Beach complete with ping ball drop and fireworks. I love New Year's Eve but hate driving too late, so we'll be home early (after the kids 9 p.m. pre-countdown and fireworks). I hope everyone enjoys their night and stays safe...
Happy New Year to everyone with love and blessings!
