Hello Soupers,

That was a wonderful contest to host. Thank you to all who entered and supported it. I loved the challenge of writing TEN collaboration poems with our amazing poets. So many great entries, and it was hard to choose from (I will never do a premier contest again).

Now, regarding my judgement, it was purely SUBJECTIVE, no hard feelings. The reasons your poems did not place was either one of the following:

1) Your poem did not appeal to me.

2) The syllable count / rhyming was off.

3) It had nothing to do with the contest theme.

4) It was complete in itself, I could not think of anything to add to it.

5) It was awesome, but I could choose only TEN winners, so maybe next time...

Thank you all once again.

I plan to do another collaboration contest, but this time a STANDARD one, so there will be multiple winners:) hope many will join in:)

Yes, Premier contests are almost always too hard for me to judge. Glad to hear you are doing another one that is standard. Congrats to the fine winners.

Know the feeling, so many wonderful poets that have a style of their own. Like a painting, each one sees things different, just because we see a painting cheerful another will see it very depressing so the colors will be different from bright to dulls. Even brush strokes will be different and sizing. They are all beautiful but in their own way.
