The beauty spilling from your pen
engraved the loneliness of night
and sketched the morning’s vivid light.
And all your passions placed therein
enticed each verse to tease my tongue
and sing the stanzas that I sung.
Evoked emotions, deep within,
from scribbled words to light my day,
reminded me you'd passed my way.
And if our souls ne’er meet again
I’m better for your gift of grace
that made my world a better place.
I’m blessed to say I knew you when
we'd found this place where words impart
to let our muses fill the heart.
The beauty spilling from your pen
and all your passions placed therein,
evoked emotions deep within,
and if our souls ne’er meet again,
I’m blessed to say, I knew you when.
