Hi There

Wondering is there such thing as a '50 word poem' if so what is it's technical name? I remember taking a poetry workshop and that was one of the activities.....I actually wrote some of these - one being the 'Better the Devil you know' which I wrote about 3 years ago.

Hey everyone, i think my first contest could get released. Guess what! Its going to be all about 50 words hehe - i think i am a tad excited about that idea :-)

Shaz, is there a form to it, for example, a certain number of words per line? If you google stuff like that, all kinds of explanations come up. So there ya go, your first contest!

yes, there is, shaz but it has no name??... this can fall under categories like sonnets, quatrains, free verse, etc... just my 2 cents..:) hugggs!

Hi Shaz, yep there certainly is and funny enough it is one of the contests at the moment in one of my local poetry groups, Robert Frost wrote 50 word poems and read 'Blackmail' by Frederick Everest, excellent work...David

Fifty words sounds about right for a Shanzi. Sounds like a good exercise.
