The Girl

Her eyes were a shade of sapphire

Her lips ruby in color

Rosy pink cheeks

Her hair so perfectly

Fell beside her shoulders

Her smile beamed a thousand words

She had you speechless

You became close to her

You loved her for who she was

But did she in return

Her Garnet heart

Turned to a jet black

Her sapphire eyes turned grey

And she left

You never understood why

Was all that love wasted

Was it all for nothing

You wished for her return

But she never did

You then had to learn

To live in a world

Where she was no longer

Apart of yours

I can feel the pain and the other emotions involved and that is what great poetry is all about...
