Forgotten

Somewhere, the wind is blowing
I can hear it whispering through
the dark recesses of my misery.
Your voice is carried on it...
laughing, happy
What are you thinking?
Who are you with?
Are you in love?
Of course....
you would be in love.
It's been years, you don't even
remember my name.
But why is it that every time
the jonquils bloom
I breathe in your essence?
I believe in your lies.
I'll be back for you
you once told me,
when everything is taken care of
There will be no other woman.
Then why is she on your arm?
Have you forgotten your promise
to me? The we were forever?
that you were mine?
What happened to your honor?
It's been lost...
Somewhere in the blowing wind.

extreme thought within this poem. Although I'm not qiute sure, this sounds like it's happened to you. You make this sound soo real, I can almost feel what you felt through the words you have formed in poem. Great job, and keep writing it's a great way to deal with stress. Your fellow poet, John~
