The Captains Gaze

So many nights
When I close my eyes 
You’re in my sights
I can’t disguise 

The pull, the swirl
Captivating breeze
Of an island girl
The thought, oh please

Let time stand still
sun do not rise
The things I feel
Under evening sky’s 
My one and only
Know who you are
Dream companion
You light the stars

Bliss falls like dew
Sound of your voice
This pillow’s for two
I’ve made my choice

Contentment’s release
The body’s drum beat
Let’s calm the beast
In this night heat

Whispers exchanged
Our secrets sealed
Of midnight flames
Never revealed...

Dark beauty be
What pen can’t describe
And a thousand seas
Will never hide
The Captain’s gaze 
Upon the shore 
Nights follow days
Pink lips cry more
