Thinking About You

Just a year ago-
Thinking about you was like being in heaven
With my stomach full of butterflies
Every thought about you made me smile
And smiling like that all through the day
Had become a sweet habit

It's boundaries were covered with infinity
So there was no boundary at all
To think of the galaxies which could be created
If i had you right by my side

It would give this adrenaline rush
Which made me feel like that, right there, was the time
In all my day, over all these years of living
When i actually felt alive
To realise what living really felt like

It's background music was full of love songs
Where I would write those songs for you
Trying to contain in them everything i felt for you
But failing, for how could I?
When there was so much to express

And now
Thinking about you is like a curse
Hearing your name gives me heartaches
Even the pain is so much that
If i try to contain the pain in a sad song I would fail again, just like before

It's like a craving of the worst kind
Where all the rationale for not craving fails
It's like being a 5 year old kid
Who does the exact thing he is told not to do

So i guess,
I'll be writing both- about love and about pain
Hoping that writing about these 2 things, would, someday
Help to end at least one of them
And set me free
