Let Me Be

Let me be to you like flowing water...
let me yield to your strength and envelope
you into my warm wet embrace.
Let my unrelenting flow of love,
         soften your heart,
                and smooth your rough edges.
Let my cool refreshing spirit quench
        your thirst for unconditional love,
                understanding and acceptance.

Let me be to you like blowing wind...
let me completely surround you
and support you even when I can't
                 be seen.
Let me fill every space in your life
        and recess of your heart.
Let em maneuver into the darkest parts
of your soul and fill them up.

Let me be to you like fire...
let me match your inner flame...
our hearts burning side by side
in the timeless dance of passion.
Let the glowing embers of my love ignite
in you an internal inferno that will
                   burn forever.

Let me be to you like the universe...
let my love be limitless and infinite.
Let me shine and light your way through
       the darkest nights.
Let me give you life and warm your heart
       like the hot summer sun.

Let me be your everything...
let me be the air you breathe...
       the dreams you dream,
                     your hope for the future.
Let me be to you all these things
because all these things you are to me.

Let us be to each other the four seasons...
let our love grow and blossom together
       like true spring flowers.
Let us bask in the warmth and beauty
       of the summer sunshine.
Let us greet the change in our lives together
like the falling leaves of autumn.
Let the coldness and the barren winters
       not freeze our love,
                        but give us strength for
                               the coming spring.

Let us be to each other everything
      and in everything be us!
