I Want

I am afraid of pain
I am afraid of love
I am afraid that life will cause me pain
I am afraid that love will cause me to hurt 
I am even afraid that I will wake up without you by my side

I am afraid of death
I am afraid of life
I am afraid that this life will kill me quickly
I am afraid that from death I will have to hide
I am even afraid of the thoughts that are on my mind

I want to experience the pain
I want to feel love
I want to live my life
I want to love unconditionally without hurt 
I even want to come along for the ride

I want to laugh in the face of death
I want to stand against the pain
I want to ignore the hurt
I want to trust enough to love 
And I want never to leave myself behind
Most of all
