What Are You Chasing?

You wake up with a goal,
at least, that's what you say.
But take a moment, be real,
what’s lighting your way?
Is it passion?
A purpose that stirs in your chest?
Or just the grind to keep up and impress?

You’re not building kingdoms.
You’re just sending T-fare.
So someone can smile, flip her hair,
Eat your food, rest in your space,
Then leave you wondering, lost in the race.

You call it love, maybe call it fate,
But often it's just a meet-up disguised as a date.
You’re chasing curves, not connection.
Access, not introspection.

And when she says “Not tonight,”
Suddenly your spark loses its light.
So was your dream wrapped up in her "yes"?
Or are you striving for something more, not less?

Six long days, just for a night’s glow,
So someone can drink your juice and put on a show.
But Monday morning, life calls again,
You’re tired, you’re broke, and stuck in the pain.

Let’s pause the show. Let’s speak the truth:
Your hustle is hollow, and it’s stealing your youth.
It’s not growth that you seek, not really.
It’s comfort. It’s ego. It’s feeling manly.

But that’s not strength. That’s misdirection.
Masquerading as masculine affection.
You’ve built your drive around being chosen,
But real growth is slow, not stolen.

Sex isn’t a medal for making it through.
And money isn’t love, it’s just something you do.
If she’s here for what you provide,
Then there’s still a deeper truth to find.

Use your youth to stretch your mind,
Plant seeds of purpose you’ll one day find.
Don’t waste it all on fleeting highs,
While the deeper parts of you slowly die.

Learn. Build. Reflect. Create.
Let your heart and hands collaborate.
Earn the kind of respect that stays,
That grows with you through all your days.

The one who’s building doesn’t chase.
He doesn’t need to prove or race.
His worth isn’t tied to who says "yes",
He walks in peace, not in distress.

So brother, ask, what’s really your goal?
Is your hustle just a temporary role?
Or are you building something true,
A life with depth, a clearer view?

Build for your name, not her reply.
Build for legacy, not just to get by.
Choose intention over impulse.
Choose discipline over detours.

You’re not stuck because of your pay,
You’re stuck because you’ve lost your way.
So lift your eyes. Reclaim your fire.
Build a life that climbs higher.

Because pleasure fades, but purpose grows.
Discipline is where power flows.
Don’t just chase what’s loud and near,
Chase what makes your path sincere.
