Dreams and Illusions
I had a dream
where….
I tried to catch the rainbows
When I saw that twinkle in your eyes
I tried to decipher the meaning
In that one lone half tear
That shimmered just beneath you lashes
When we said our goodbyes
I tried to hang on to the moments
When we had reached the vast skies
I try to rationalize my feelings
But it’s a dream I know
And hence I let go
And I dream further….
on and on
I hold on to you, so fast
And so desperately
And I never let go…….
And then, I see
The twinkle turn into a glare
The shimmer mocks me there
And I fall thro’ the skies, hard and bare…
And its time again for sad goodbyes!
Tell me….
Was I really so smotheringly close
Did I really adopt a clinging pose
What went wrong, I often wonder
Yet again, I try to decipher
So foolishly indeed
-the meaning….
In that one lone half tear that shimmered
Just beneath your lashes
When we said our goodbyes…..
Or is it just a dream, an illusion……
