The New Me
When your eyes I see
I catch a reflection of the new me
when I see your expression
it's as if God has taught me a life-long lesson.
what is this lesson?
You wanna know?
It's that I remain
beside the brightest glow
the light that you are
has left me scarred
with happiness and protection
as you have taught me this lesson
In the mirror
I take another look
you have opened my life's book
because for the first time
I can call you mine
The look on your face
shows there isn't a race
I've found where I belong
so I'll be with you life-long.
