Destined

Meeting you
Was fashioned by Fate,
As if the world revolved and revolved
Only to stop at the moment
Where your eyes
Was to meet mine.

And the smile that followed,
Yes, your smile
That calmed your face all a-sudden
And smoothed the creases of your frown
Had come at such an instant
That it was indelibly tattooed
In the pages of time.

Time had passed, life moved on,
Our memories filled with faces
That has come and gone;
Yet our footsteps,
Though we walk in paths separate,
Always return to where it belongs,
With each other.

And the same footsteps
Has brought us here
To begin the lifelong travel
Together,
Though the road is crooked and difficult
And the travails hard,
Our paths shall be separate
No more.
