"rocks"

My heart is a rock, it cannot be broken;
It's layered in sorrow from the words I've spoken-
My tears are like ice: they harden while falling,
Pouring down pain and grief of my causing-
My soul is an alley, so dark and desolate;
Strewn by the winds of hate and neglect-

If we happen to meet and I give you my heart,
Please chisel a layer and bust it apart-
Look past the tears my eyes have been crying
And guide me to sunshine, so I'm able to dry them-
If my spirit seems lost in fear and despair:
Words may revive me, if spoke true in my ear.
