Someday, I'll Tell You

Your smile is a late night conversation,
It strips me bare.
You walk as if you’re a falling leaf,
To whom gravity is gentle.
Even the air forgets me, caught in your charm.

Your gaze, sharp as shattered glass,
Pierces my chest, owning my heart.
When you stand still in your silence,
I ache to hold you close, to whisper:
It’s safe now, let yourself fall.

The credits roll,
Screen flickers, fading to black,
I sit, lost in the aftermath.
How do you unlove someone,
Who only lives in the frame?
