Safe, But Stuck

I was once sad and miserable,
Stuck behind the same four walls.
Home felt safe —
Too safe —
Because I didn't want to leave.

The world outside felt big and loud,
And fear would always pull me down.
So I stayed where I knew best,
Hiding in my little nest.

The walls were kind, they held me tight,
But they blocked the morning light.
I watched the days just pass me by,
Afraid to live, afraid to try.

But slowly, something changed in me —
A quiet voice that longed to see.
And step by step, I faced my fear,
And found the world was bright and clear.

I’m still afraid, but now I know —
The safest place is where I grow.
