Jake Dog

Jake Dog belly up
Cuervo bottoms up
Heart feels the burn
Stomach feels the churn
of something done wrong
by me
or by the one I love
maybe I should look above
the bottom of the bottle
or maybe I should step on the throttle
away from this way station
that makes me feel this degradation
a life lost
but what is the cost
of leaving whats become so fond
to me
while I've developed this bond
to her
everything dark and bright
how long can I fight
don't take the Jake Dog
he is the one that leads through the fog
that holds together all that began under the green flash
