What happens when i die?

What happens when you die?
Who's going to remember your name
your fame your glory?
Who'll tell your story when it ends?
Was it all just pretend, all for nothing?

What happens to us when we die?
Who's going to remember us?
Our achievements, our legacy
or just false sense of ecstasy,
was it all just pretend, all for nothing?

Make a difference she told me, be great she told me,
nobody's gonna do it for you, she told me.
Go out with a bang, she told me,
but what if I don't go out at all?
What if I just fade, just fall,
will my soul just cascade into emptiness, then what?

What happens when i die?
Who's gonna remember my name,
my fame, my glory,
who'll tell my story when it ends?
The story of somebody's daughter, somebody's friend,
was it all just pretend, all for nothing?
Will I simply die once I'm dead?

Thought provoking verse Sophie, I like to think there's something after this life, the fact we exist at all is something of a miracle. Welcome to poetry soup. Tom

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed, trusting God Who can quicken and resurrect the dead.
