You came to us just in time to save us but somehow we couldn't do that for you.
How could that be?
In just the blink of an eye you were here then you were gone.
Where is it that you had to be?
You were the light in our dark path.
You were here just long enough to save us and then you had to leave us.
Why did it have to be that way?
You were the light in our dark tunnels in which most of us had given up hope for a way out.
Why did you brighten the light in our path but let your light fade and die?
Why didn't you tell us you were not alright?
Your smile had a way of changing a bad day around.
Why could we not do the same for you?
When you came into the room you had a way of commanding attention without ever speaking a word.
We all wish you were here to be able to see you one last time so we can at least say goodbye.
