A Perfect Day

I know nothing of the roots of mortality
and therefore, cannot question all known forms of certainty
But, as I look out and gaze into the eyes of infinity,
time stands still
and the fabric of reality is pulled aside like a veil
revealing all its secrets and hidden beauty

The sun shows its first rays
For most, it is just the rise of another ordinary day
For me, it is morning and the start of a perfectly glorious new way
It is a perfect day to have a perfect day

Each day, I dance the dances of life,
every time, to a brand-new song, on a brand-new stage
and I cannot but query
how pale and tedious my world would be
without the magic and intrigue of mystery

Even in the light of day,
I am often surrounded by a murkiness that seems black as midnight
on a dark moonless night
Waiting for some new day’s dawning, I continue my search for a different way…
And today…
promises to be just that
… where the journey, with or without admonition or restriction,
becomes my destination

So, with droplets of hope and pride
as well as with love, peace and forgiveness by my side,
which most times lie hidden deep inside
like dancing shadows veiled by some shimmering moonlit tide,
I now choose to bid goodbye to yesterday
and embrace this promise
of a new and perfect day

It really is a perfect day to have a perfect day!!!

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
