Warmth

Your smile could light a fire
with a flick of your eyes.
Don't be surprised,
for what you do to me.
A touch from your hand
sends me to a land
I have never known.
Tender shadows of the day
persuade me to lay my head
for the day and come
dream away with my love.
So come forth
and unfold,
let my feet caress the floor
and feel the warming presence
of your lips
on mine,
undivided and forever lasting
past the existence of time.
