No Longer Real Love

I don't know what
real love feels like.

Never have and
with todays meaning
of "love" and "relationship"
I think I don't want to.

Being "in love" now means
getting hurt,
being lied to,
having trust issues.

Love is not
supposed to be like that.

Love is supposed to be fun,
carefree,
goofy,
late night talks about life,
movie dates under the stars,
food fights,
laughs.

A light hearted feeling,
the feeling of floating on a
cloud.

Now it's
checking locations,
fighting over posts,
crying over tweets,
not knowing if their lying,
going through their phone,
trust issues,
a sinking feeling.

Love has been ruined for the
hurt
wanting to find a place to
heal.

Shannon, your point is wise and well-taken. I think real love throws away the written words and starts from the heart, and in person. Welcome to Soup!
