Angelic Fire

Life as an artist is a series of battles.
My paintbrush and palette are my weapons of choice.
I struggle for inspiration until my mind rattles.
The blank canvas challenges my creative voice.
How I wish my mind was grasped by angelic fire.
Then I would create paintings at a rapid rate.
With the muses by my side I would never tire.
Each evening I prayed that this would be my fate.
Yet now I realize I cannot leave my calling to chance.
Everyday I try to craft meaningful work for glory.
This process is a unique and artful dance.
What will be the ending to my chaotic story?
I choose to be the victor of my whirlwind life.
So onward I march; taking up my palette knife.

I love it that you are the "victor of your whirlwind life". And the first step is to pick up your palette knife! Well done. Bravo Jeaunice. Welcome to Poetry Soup!
