Little Lamb
" I love you"
He'd say as he held her hand
In the noon day.
She believed him.
She believed his lies
And fake promises.
She trusted him
And his deep blue
Reassuring eyes.
She loved him back
Until he locked her in his bedroom.
Fear rooted in the core
Of a daughter
Who sat their innocent and scared
Like a lamb before a slaughter
You'd think his parents
Would have taught him some decency
It that it would at least
Be inked in his humanity.
But no.
Not at all
